TeaM, Be Connected !

Till mid-2002, I was working as part of the team, under someone's supervision. Then I had been assigned a team. Initially I wasn't sure that how and when to assign tasks to them, to check quality of work completed by them and at the same time, how to get enough time to complete my part. And I believe, everyone face this dilemma when becoming a team leader first time.

I used to collaborate as their co-worker and I found it very helpful in terms of connecting (professionally & personally) with them and  started getting positive results in terms of work completion on time.

Within 2 years of team leadership, I understood and concluded that TeaM work is pure collaboration and as a team leader I am also part of the collaboration. Since then, there is no leader in my team. The TeaM without a leader.

I believe that each team member is having lots of knowledge and bright ideas, I just need to get the ideas work empathetically while meeting all the required components of the project management and finally closing projects/tasks successfully. It is true that sometime I did more work than my team but that was worth to see my TeaM happy, working passionately, sharing enthusiastically, getting a feel of success and growing finally.

It works !!

On the 31st Dec 2018, a few thoughts came to my curious mind that how many team members I worked with till date? Why not to configure a crowd-sourcing story map  and lets ask them to "Be Connected" back.

Listed down names (recalled various projects I completed, different organizations I worked with, many locations etc.). It was an interesting task, liked it.

Then I approached thru mail, LinkedIn, Whatsup, Messenger, Hangout, Instagram etc.. They liked the idea, started joining and I am happy to see story map getting populated, the map is showing their locations and the clustering function on the map is the real power.

Thanks to everyone who has joined. Happy to see many of you after a long time and to know about your whereabouts. Be connected !!
