Father’s Remembrance Anniversary / पुण्यतिथि (03 April 1945 – 29 October 2024)
Today marks one year since my beloved father, Late Shri Dhirendra Singh Sindal, left this world, yet his presence continues to guide, inspire, and comfort us every single day.
He was not just a man of many talents but a man of deep character, unshakable values, and endless love. A devoted husband, a proud father, a caring brother, and a dutiful son, he carried every relationship with grace and dignity.
🏐 A True Attacker with Passion
In his younger days, he was a volleyball attacker at the net, known for his agility, focus, and unmatched team spirit. His energy on the court reflected the same zeal he carried throughout his life — fearless, disciplined, and full of heart. He believed that every game was a lesson in teamwork and perseverance.
🎙️ The Orator Beyond Comparison
Words were his strength. His oratory skills had a rare power, a blend of command, clarity, and connection. Whether addressing a school assembly, a cultural event, or a national celebration, his voice carried both authority and warmth. Even today, people remember the grace and conviction with which he spoke, every word chosen with care, every sentence delivered with impact.
Culture was his heartbeat. His deep involvement in school and district-level cultural activities earned him recognition across the region. His remarkable contribution was honored at the national level in October 1989 when he received the prestigious CCRT National Award for Cultural Activities from the Honorable Vice President of India, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma.
That proud moment defined him, not as a man chasing recognition, but as one devoted to nurturing talent and preserving traditions. Even after his retirement from government service in April 2003, he continued his journey, remaining active in organizing and conducting major events. He became the voice of Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations in the district, lending his words to the spirit of patriotism.
👨👦 A Father Like No Other
To me, he was everything a father could be - a teacher, a mentor, a friend, and a silent guardian. He was the one who taught me scooter driving when I was in class 8, standing patiently by my side until I found my balance.
Even years later, whenever I travelled long distances, especially from Ghaziabad to Sirohi, he would worry, waiting for that reassuring message that I had reached safely. His concern was pure love, expressed through quiet care.
💫 The Final Journey
He had not been
keeping well since March 2019, yet his spirit remained unbroken.
On October 27, 2024, he was admitted to one of the best hospitals in Udaipur.
We were hopeful he would recover and fight back, just like the fighter he was
on the volleyball court. But destiny had other plans.
That morning, I was sitting outside the ICU when the attendant called me urgently around 11:30 a.m. As I rushed toward the ICU, I saw a bright light in the gallery. I am certain that light was him, as if he paused for a moment, waiting for me, before beginning his eternal journey.
On 29 October 2024, he finally left us, but not without leaving behind a lifetime of memories, values, and lessons. That day, I was with him, just the two of us, on his final long drive from Udaipur to Sirohi. It felt as though the journey symbolized his transition from this world to eternal peace.
🌼 Forever with Us
A year has passed, but not a day goes by without remembering him, his laughter, his voice, his wisdom. He may no longer stand beside us physically, but he continues to live in every value he instilled, every story he told, and every tradition he upheld.
He was, and will always remain, our family’s guiding light, a gem whose shine will never fade.
We remember you, with pride, gratitude,
and unending love.
You are with us, always!!
